Super Rare Vintage 1993 Noble & Cooley Star Series Red Lacquer 5-PC Drum Set

The Star series drums are truly unique in the drum world, the tom-tom and snare drum shells are constructed out of a single-ply of New England Maple. The bass drum is constructed out of 8-plies of maple with solid-maple interior glue-rings.

All of the shells are manufactured in the Noble & Cooley factory, which is still located in Granville, Massachusetts. These are truly, the finest drums ever manufactured in the United States. Noble & Cooley stopped making the Star series drums not long after these drums were made.

Sizes are; 14" deep x 22" bass drum, 7" deep x 14" wide tom, 6" deep x 13" wide tom, 6" deep x 12" wide tom and a matching 5" deep x 14" wide "CLASSIC" series snare drum. All of the tom-toms are "Virgin", they are not drilled for tom mounts and none of them have internal mufflers.

The interiors are natural maple with a satin coat of sealer. The exteriors are factory finished in a bright, translucent cherry red lacquer.

The original paint is bright and free from fading, and you will have a hard time finding any scratches in the finish. There is a chip in the paint on the front batter side of the bass drum but it is completely concealed when the front drum head is installed. The bass drum is factory equipped with ten Noble & Cooley solid brass, chrome-plated lugs, twenty tension rods & claws, a Pearl model 727-3 V. "Vari-set" twin tom mounting bracket, two YAMAHA bass drum spurs & brackets. All of the parts are brilliantly triple-AAA Diamond chrome plated and look amazing!

The 14 is outfitted with 8 Noble & Cooley solid brass chrome plated tube lugs, and two Noble & Cooley die-cast chrome plated hoops. The 13 is outfitted with 6 Noble & Cooley solid brass chrome plated tube lugs, and two Noble & Cooley die-cast chrome plated hoops.

The 12 is outfitted with 8 Noble & Cooley solid brass chrome plated tube lugs, and two Noble & Cooley die-cast chrome plated hoops. All of the lugs, throwoff, and butt plate are finished in lacquered brass, while the hoops are plated in chrome.

Just like all of the other drums, this snare drum is in outstanding condition and it looks fresh and new! I do have a pair of PEARL tom-tom arms that mate with the bass drum receiver plate. I also have the Pearl suspension mounts for the 12" and 13" tom-toms. I will included them at no extra cost.
