Super Rare Set of Gerber WASKY Knives

Super Rare Set of Gerber WASKY Knives. Most people have never even heard of a Wasky knife, so if you have, you're way ahead of most! These were (I believe) introduced around 1954 and were produced for a very short period of time before being discontinued. This was produced to be a new steak knife, with a fatter and longer blade. The problem was, the Miming had been in circulation for a while and people seemed to prefer what they were familiar with.

These were a dismal failure as far as sales go, so finding even one of these is harder than finding Hens Teeth! Good overall condition with one blade having some edge chatter and needing resharpening. There's a bit of the typical light chrome flake near the front where the blade joins the handle. If you look toward the last few photos, I have a miming knife on top and a Wasky on bottom and you can see that the handle length is pretty similar, but the Wasky has a longer and fatter blade.

If anybody has ANY information on the Wasky, please let me know, I would appreciate it! The case is in nice shape structurally and cosmetically, but the red flocking on the interior is wearing off. Please review all of the photos as they are part of the description. Photos will supersede any written descriptions in case I missed noting anything or made an error in what I did write, so please look closely and ask questions if in doubt.
