ROGERS SUPER RARE 18 x14 BASS DRUM FOR RESTORE PARTS AS-IS READ DAYTON? Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description. We will give you as much information as possible. Please feel free to ask any questions you want about the drum. The size of the drum is Super Rare. The serial number is 82594, which we believe dates it to the Dayton period. It may be from the Cleveland era, but we don't know for sure, and I dont want to remove the bass drum tom mount holder plate to look at the tan paper tag, but we can give you a close up picture if you need it. We want to leave it as-is. As you can see, there is no front head, which also means there is no Front Hoop (or Rim), no Front T Rods with Washers, and no Claws for the T Rods. The drum is Structurally Sound so there are no cracks or any major structural damage. The Reinforcement hoops are clean and tight to the drum shell, so that is not an issue. There is some discoloration on the inside finish of the drum (I dont know why, but I can send you pictures if needed- probably just age and use). On the exterior, the drum looks like it has a green wood contact paper applied to it, over top of a black wrap. I dont know if the black wrap is the original Rogers or not, but you can clearly see where some of the contact paper, or top tier finish has come off. The hardware looks in good condition, but it will need to be polished. I have a few more pictures if needed. There is some light rusting, in spots, but it is overall ok (again, see pictures).
There is plenty of dust on the drum. There are some screws on the inside of the drum missing, but most are there (see pics and ask questions if needed). Both collets look good, and the plating or mounts still look sturdy. The legs look ok, but they will need to be buffed and cleaned (minor rust, and some polishing). Will only be to an.
