Rare Aurora 1971 Monster Scenes Models Set of 4 Super Nice Sealed Condition

Rare Aurora 1971 Monster Scenes Models Set of 4 - Super Nice Sealed Condition. I was a child of the 60s monster craze-models in particular. I was able to get two sets of these in 1971-one to build and one to store. I was between 12-13 when I got them.

My grandparents gave me this extra set for my birthday so these I stored away and forgot about. I still have the built ones too. These are the four 1971 released in U. The Pain Parlor Kit# 635-200. I can still remember my late mother saying why cant you like baseball like other boys.

These are offered from time to time (especially including new reproduced issues) but mine are the real 1971 deal and in beautiful condition and never opened. They are among the most famous models in history. I love the early 70s colors like hot pink, lime green-bright colors. They were cancelled due to parental objections.

I dont even think they were on the market for a full year -but not sure. They simply disappeared off the shelves at my local Grants department store (now defunct). This is half the set -the others being the Victim, Dr Deadly, Frankenstein and Vampirella which are even rarer still boxed-wish I had them too. The ones that are still around are often in rough shape-not these-no tears, bright colors. On one corner of Gruesome Goodies there is a mashed corner which I have photographed.

The other sides are fine. On The Hanging Cage I photographed one area near the top that has a very slight crease-again the cardboard on these models was thin compared to the older horror kits and creasing is very common.

Aurora by then was spending less on models and these boxes were much thinner and smaller than the older monster models. Please look at the photos and many thanks-if you need more photos please let me know.
